Ross' Hand

Enjoyed a visit with Ross recently.  He is trying his hand (literally) at sculpture.  The upright hand is the form of his hand created with wire and then covered with strips of clay.  The hand in pieces is his attempt to cast it in plaster.   To quote from an archaeology professor whose name I can't remember at the moment: "removing the hand from the mold caused crack propagation which led to catastrophic failure".  I rather like the hand in pieces.  They could be something he dug up while planting a tree in the garden.   Speaking of gardens,  I'm off to work in mine now.
