This is another plug for the "Find Your HeART" event coming up this weekend. Pennsylvania Arts Experience has coordinated with several York artists for open studio tours/exhibits May 21 and 22 from 10:00 to 5:00. Maps to all the locations will be available at each site. The brochure below is not an advertisement for this weekend's event, but there is a phone number to call for more information. If you start at Marketview Arts, 37 W. Philadelphia St., York, you will have the pleasure of seeing Jason Tako's beautiful exhibit of landscape paintings. Jessica Lee will be there to answer any questions about the tour and give you a map. Downstairs there is a studio sale of art works $100 or less. I have company through Sunday morning, but hope to see some of the studios on this tour as well as attend the York Art Association's exhibit (see previous post).
Also in a previous post I mentioned the "Exploreogram" exhibit at The Parliament which I participated in. I had the fun of seeing it a few days ago. Twenty photographs are printed on canvas and hung on the gallery walls. 666 photographs are displayed on three light-bar counters. Loved viewing these photos in a gallery setting. Below is a copy of the program listing the photographers followed by the layout scheme with a number code of the photographer in each space. I highlighted mine. I am number 43. You can also see all the photos on Instagram #exploreogram. You can read more here.
In flipping through my photos of Lithuania, I stopped to enjoy these shots taken on a narrow street in Vilnius. Broken teapots were attached to the outside wall of a building that, upon turning the corner, turned out to be a tea shop. Very clever advertising.
