Yes, heat and humidity are now at the hot and sticky summer standard for southern Pennsylvania. I take breaks from gardening to rest in the hammock and enjoy the treetops and sky. Barry likes his after dinner repose. Today a little French bulldog puppy is keeping us company. Our little grand dog, Laney. She is not quite house broken and is keeping me busy running in and out. Young as she is, I can tell she's very intelligent and that like her predecessor, Sadie, she will have all her business sorted out very soon. We will have her one more day. I told her, wouldn't it be a treat for mommy if the "light bulb" suddenly turned on. Photos to follow in the next post.
These are some of my favorite photos which you may have seen posted previously, but were not included in my Photography Pages. It's hard to choose photographs to highlight when you have hundreds and hundreds that you love.
These are waterlilies in our pond with the sky reflected. I've entered this in the latest York Art Association open exhibit entitled "Life Forms" Come to the opening reception if you are in the area.

Runs through the middle of August
When we visited Poland, the Baltic States and St. Petersburg last autumn, our guide gave us some chocolates wrapped in this wrapper. She said this was one of her favorite chocolates as a little girl. This image is an antidote to the heat today, and the memory of eating the chocolate in chilly St. Petersburg helps. I would love to meet up with our guide, Miina, somewhere in the future. She will always be linked to an illuminating three weeks in foreign lands.
